Lately

(*Disclaimer: LONG post ahead)
These past few months have been busier than ever! Don't get me wrong, we've had a great time but there has not been a weekend that we've been home, with nothing to do, since January.
January. We were some of the lucky thousands to get to watch our for the National Championship (War Eagle!)!!! I know it's been a few months, but in 7 short months there will be another winner so I have to celebrate while I can. Just a few pictures:
Official tailgate ladies.

I should be president of his fan club.

February. Katie Beth's wedding in Eufaula. She was a Phi Mu pledge sister of mine and luckily we both live in Birmingham so I see her a good bit. It was such a beautiful wedding, and KB looked awesome as usual and she had hand picked every.single.detail of the day. Unfortunately I did not take my camera, so I have no pictures to share but I had to mention it!
March. Lauren & John's wedding. Lauren was another pledge sister of ours and John and I went to high school together, so it was really special to be up there with them as they said their vows. This was another gorgeous bride and wedding. Again, no camera :(
I loved being there to see both of these sweet couples start their journey together.

April. I love Easter. We were lucky enough this year to get to spend it with my brother, mom, Jim-my stepdad, his daughter and her family-Diana, Jeff, Jamie & Ty. Mom & Jim took us to Highlands, NC. Chris and I had never been before. WOW.

I thought I was going to be upset about missing Easter church but you can't help but praise God just as much in His gorgeous creation. Thanks Mom & Jim!

May. For our Christmas gift my dad took us to VEGAS! Me, Chris, Ricky, his girlfriend, Sara, and my dad. Again, another place Chris and I had never been and we LOVED it. We did a lot of gambling, saw Ron White's stand up, (saw Reggie Bush leaving the steakhouse we ate dinner at!) and more below. Chris, my dad and Ricky played golf Sunday on an Indian reservation! It really was such an awesome trip-thanks Daddy!

saw the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show (freaking fabulous)

Bellagio fountain show. (remind me to get a smaller camera for strangers to take pics with-you'd think you would have to be a rocket scientist to use my big one)

The Morrows go to Washington

Chris comes back tomorrow! We left for DC on Friday and I flew back Sunday. Chris "gets" to stay until Wednesday for work..Saturday morning we got up early to head to Old Town Alexandria Virginia. It is such a cool little town. Very quaint, old, and on the water! After lunch there we headed back into DC to do all the tourist-y sites because neither of us had been there since about 5th grade. Saturday night we went into Georgetown for dinner and drinks afterward. We loved it and I really wish we could have spent more time there. Sunday before I left we were able to have brunch with Aunt Oakshin & Uncle Marion and cousins. We had a great time but I didn't get a picture! There is still so much that we did not get a chance to see, so hopefully we will return soon! Here are some pictures from the rest of the weekend. ( I promise I'll figure out how to rotate them, sorry!)

Chris's first time on the Metro-looks happy, right?! :)

Jumping on the bandwagon

I've been toying with the blog idea for a few months now, and finally decided to start one! Two of my favorite things to do are travel and cook (BOTH are most enjoyed with Chris alongside), so most of my posts will revolve around those topics..Hope you enjoy!
