Pan Seared Salmon

Pan Seared Salmon

2 salmon filets
pepper & garlic salt to taste
1 TBSP local honey
1 TBSP low sodium soy
1 TBSP rice wine vinegar
1 TBSP toasted sesame seeds

  • Whisk together: honey, soy, & vinegar.
  • Pepper & Garlic Salt the filets.
  • Pour honey marinade over fish filets (in ziploc bag or just in a casserole dish) reserving about a TBSP for later.
  • Allow that to marinate for 30 minutes-1 hour.
  • Coat a saute pan with non stick spray-or use a little olive oil, I just had the spray handy.
  • Heat pan on medium.
  • Add filets skin side UP. *
  • Cook about 4-6 minutes depending on thickness.
  • Flip filets, add remaining TBSP of marinade and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
  • Remove from heat and let cook another 2-3 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
*Typically you cook fish skin side down so it won't fall apart but this gave the salmon a really nice light layer of crust on the top!

Serve with veggies!
